Have you ever found yourself absolutely flat strap busy in life and yet at the same time saying “There must be more!”. As a High School Graduate in the top 5% who gained a scholarship to study Aerospace Engineering I discovered how detrimental a life lacking balance could be. For most of my life since then I have constantly fluctuated between been hectically focused and overly relaxed through yoga fetishes and bliss binges. I have tried many schools of Yoga and Meditation seeking to find a practice that brings balance to my life, which is often overloaded with the demands of running three small businesses and working as a registered teacher.
Too often my yoga practices would relax me but take away my focus and ability to respond to the demands of modern life. When I discovered Slacklining I discovered a way to Actively Meditate, to learn relaxed focus and to soften without losing my edge.
I have enjoyed owning and running one of Gold Coast’s most renowned surf schools, seeing the thrill and the buzz surfing gives people. I have thrived working as a SCUBA Instructor for South East Queensland’s Largest Scuba Company. Seeing people experience a whole new world. But of all the “Re-creational” activities I have instructed, Slacklining has been the greatest gift. When people walk the line, are totally present, feel balanced and use the Four Slack line Australia Keys they reach new dimensions and find a new way to approach the challenges of life. From 3year olds to 60 year olds the joy and insightful teachings Slack Line Australia programs offer people are unprecedented. As an honorary Slack Line Australia panel member I will use all my skills to grow and refine slack lining to keep on bringing Joy and Balance to Australians.
